Assembly and Cleaning
To disassemble straw:
Hold straw in one hand, place thumb over top larger half, and index finger on lower smaller half. At the same time, gently, but with a slight firm grip, press and slide thumb up and index finger down, about 2 inches or so, then pull apart from each end to complete sliding apart.
To assemble straw:
Slightly tilt top of smaller inner half of straw downward, to correctly fit into the bottom end of the larger half groove, then straighten upward and slide up together, along groove to make one solid straw.
Important: Make sure inner piece is correctly placed into groove track and slides all the way up groove, until straw meets together at top, to avoid leaking, air pockets and proper assembly. To assure straw is correctly assembled, straw should be smooth all around when it comes together as one piece.

Important - Clean and Dry properly for full benefit of straw:
Separate Straw and clean both halves with dish soap and water, or place separated pieces in top rack of dishwasher. After cleaning, when straw is not being used, allow straw to completely dry while separated, to prevent moisture build-up that can cause bacteria and mold growth.
Warning: contains slightly sharp corner edges, when straw is separated. Parent supervision is suggested
